All India Pre-Medical Test: Conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in collaboration with Medical Council of India, the AIMPT is a national level entrance test. On passing, students are entitled to get admission into MBBS and BDS courses offered by colleges for 15% merit positions in All India seats and seats offered by the participating Universities or Institutions or state governments. The AIMPT test is a 3 hour examination with multiple choice questions, negative markings and a total weightage of 720 marks. Though a pen and paper test, in a bid to go paperless, the application forms are now available online.

Appearing for COMEDK gives you a shot at some of the best colleges in Karnataka with 2000 medical and dental seats. The test duration is of 3 hours with negative marking not being applicable and is open to all eligible students in the country.
